Terms Of Use
The rules for using TaskLift.
Welcome to TaskLift! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TaskLift AI platform (the “Service”), operated by Cloudless Studio. By using TaskLift (including the website and desktop & mobile apps), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts and Subscriptions
- Paid Subscription Only: TaskLift is available by paid subscription only (no free tier or ads). You agree to pay all fees for your chosen subscription plan, which will automatically renew until canceled.
- Billing: You must provide valid payment information. Failure to pay may result in suspension of your access. No refunds are available except as required by law.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation ends your paid access at the end of the current billing period (see the Pricing page for details).
2. Your Use of TaskLift
- Service Description: TaskLift lets you chat with AI models as well as expand AI capabilities with tools - including built-in models & tools that rely on third-party cloud providers, private ones hosted for you by the platform and external ones that you connect via API. You can input text and upload images to interact with the AI. On top of that, TaskLift provides platform features such as assistants and notifications. TaskLift provides direct web interface to these AI capabilities as well as ability to embed them on your websites or plug them to arbitrary AI apps, agents and libraries over API.
- User Content: You retain ownership of any content you provide (e.g. your chat messages, uploaded images). However, you grant TaskLift a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide and improve the Service. We store your chat history and images so you can review them, but we do not use this data to train models or for advertising.
- Third-Party Services: TaskLift relies on third-party model & tool providers to facilitate built-in models & tools, as well as user-selected providers to facilitate external models & tools. We will send your inputs (and any uploaded images) to those providers to generate responses. For example, third-party model providers will receive details of your chats (including content and images) to provide and improve their services. We do not control those providers’ practices and are not responsible for how they handle your data.
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
- Illegal Use Prohibited: You agree not to use TaskLift for any unlawful purpose. You must not submit content or prompts that violate any law or third-party rights. This includes, for example, fraud, harassment, defamation, or hate speech.
- No Moderation Guarantee: TaskLift does not actively moderate or censor content. However, we reserve the right to remove or limit any content or accounts that we believe (in our sole discretion) violate these Terms or applicable law.
- Responsible Use: You are solely responsible for your use of the Service and any outputs. You must ensure your prompts and uses comply with laws and these Terms. TaskLift and its providers may suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activities or legal violations.
4. AI Outputs and Disclaimers
- Accuracy and Risks: AI model outputs may be incorrect, biased, or harmful. You acknowledge that AI-generated responses are not validated, and you should independently verify any critical information. As seen in other AI platforms, bots may not produce accurate information and we do not guarantee their accuracy.
- “AS IS” Service: TaskLift is provided “as is” without warranties. We do not promise continuous, error-free, or secure operation, and we assume no liability for outcomes from using the AI. By using TaskLift, you accept that you bear all risks. (Similar to other AI services, you use this technology at your own risk.)
- No Liability for Content: TaskLift is not responsible for the content generated by AI models or for any consequences of using that content. For example, if an output is misleading or offensive, TaskLift assumes no liability.
5. Intellectual Property
- Our IP: All TaskLift platform software, graphics, and materials are owned by TaskLift or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our platform.
- Your IP: You own the intellectual property in your content. When you upload content, you give TaskLift a license to store, display, and use it only as needed to run the Service.
6. Termination
- By You: You can terminate your account by canceling your subscription and requesting data deletion (see the Privacy Policy page).
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or engage in illegal or harmful activities.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers of significant changes via email or by notices on the site. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer: THE TASKLIFT SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TASKLIFT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We make no guarantees about service uptime, data accuracy, or suitability for any purpose.
Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASKLIFT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES arising from your use of the Service. This includes loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims related to the Service is limited to the amounts paid by you in the last 6 months.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law (e.g. the laws of your country or U.S. laws if you are in the U.S.), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved as set forth in our subscriber agreement (if any) or by applicable law.
